Anne
Hayden, a GP from Verwood in Dorset, began ISECCA (Improving
Self Efficacy, Self Esteem and Confidence of Children and Adults)
in September 1998.
She became aware that if both children and adults could feel more
confident in themselves, it would improve not only their emotional
wellbeing and mental health, but physical health also. To achieve
this, she developed the ISECCA Workshop, a course based on cognitive
behavioural therapy (CBT).
In January 2000 she gained an MBE for this work.
ISECCA focuses on improving emotional health, which in turn enables
us to improve our relationships with others. Communities and organisations
are made up of individuals whose level of emotional fitness is determined
often by their past life experiences.
ISECCA also has a charitable division - Registered Charity Number
1084658.
